Hi I’m matt…

Matt Morgan is my full name. Or I should say Matthew Christopher Morgan, but maybe that’s a bit too much information. Jesus first captured my heart and saved me when I was about 6 years old. The past 40 years walking with Him has been quite the journey, but it’s a journey that has led me to greater and greater awe and delight that I get to be called God’s son.

I’ve been married to Tricia for 23 years. She’s my best friend and we still go on dates every week. We have 5 incredible kids ranging in age from 20 to 12. By God’s incredible grace each of them are walking with Jesus and discovering what it means to be called a child of God.

It’s taken me a lot of years to truly embrace my vocational identity and understand what it is that Jesus has called me to, but that’s what he has asked of me, to be a pastor. Being a pastor has been really hard. Some of my greatest pains and greatest failures have been as a pastor. It has also been the space where I have been most in my own skin and where God has been kind to bear great fruit in my life and in the lives of those He has called me to walk alongside.

In 2004, after finishing my Mdiv at Regent University, I launched out into this vocation full time. For the last 20 years I have been discovering what it means to authentically walk with people the way that Jesus has walked with me.

As I move into my “second half” of ministry, I’d love to walk alongside you as a mentor, coach and pastor. I don’t have all the answers but I have a few scars that hopefully I can share with you so you don’t have to have those same scars.

I have a deep love for the church and for her shepherds to thrive in the mission we are called into. As you lead, don’t do it alone. Maybe I could help.
